Alebrijes Parade | Desfile de Alebrijes: Alebrijes are by far the most famous mythical creatures in Mexico, who, according to the legend, are a kind of companions on the journey to the land of dreams. Next October 19th you can meet them and take all the photos you want at a parade from Reforma Avenue to Main Square.

Day of the Death Opening | Arranque de las festividades del Día de Muertos Are you in the mood of a Mexican party? Well, come this October 24th to the Revolution Monument. There will be many surprises as part of the Day of the Dead festival. Food, culture and music, all in one place.

Altar Contest | Inauguración de la Mega OfrendaWhether you want to participate in an authentic Mexican tradition or just come as a spectator, you can’t miss this contest. First, because it is a great chance for you and your family to discover how do Mexicans celebrate the Day of the Dead. Second, as each region in Mexico celebrates it in a different manner, you can have a little taste of all Mexico in just one place. Finally, at the end of the day, it is a contest. Catrinas Parade | Mega Procesión de Catrinas Another annual tradition is the Catrinas Mega-Procession. In a nutshell, it is a parade where people wear a personalized Catrina-costume and walk through Reforma Avenue accompanied by traditional music. This is taking place on October 26th at 6 .m. If you want to parade with them, don’t hesitate. Just look for some Catrina make-up ideas, a gorgeous Mexican dress and you’re ready to go.

International Day-of-the-Dead Parade | Desfile Internacional del Día de Muertos. Se llevará a cabo el 27 de octubre entre Polanco, Zócalo y Chapultepec y el Gran Desfile de Día de muertos el 2 de noviembre en la avenida Reforma al Zócalo. Estos desfiles tradicionales están conformados por carros alegóricos, decenas de comparsas y bandas de música.

Por último, para finalizar estos eventos llenos de tradición en honor a los difuntos, se realiza una espectacular Clausura de Día de muertos el 17 de noviembre en el Zócalo. Esta es una oportunidad para cerrar las distintas actividades que fueron efectuadas en octubre y noviembre.
