A festivity that you cannot miss is the great party of Carnaval CDMX 2019. This carnival is celebrated every year before the time of Lent (belief of religious origin) in the month of March. The carnival is characterized by showing a fun parade with different dances, music, colorful costumes and other costumes. Especially this carnival is carried out with a very different style than other places in the country and even the world, since important aspects of Mexican culture are highlighted in the parade.
In CDMX there are 59 carnivals that aim to preserve the traditions of Mexican culture. These carnivals have been held for many years and are attended by children, young people and adults. - Carnival in Peñón de los Baños is located in the Venustiano Carranza district and is one of the oldest carnivals in the city, with approximately 136 years. In this carnival you can see costumes of catrines and ladies, music during the parade and an important representation of the time of the landowners. This festivity will take place from March 3 to 7.
- Carnival of Xochimilco is a celebration that will last four days and in it you will be able to enjoy a variety of comparsas (group dances) made up of chinelos, huehuenches, alebrijes and charros. Likewise, the parade is accompanied by musical groups, bands and night concerts. You will also be able to purchase items from producers and artisans of the town. This carnival will take place from March 1 to 4.
- Carnival of San Francisco Tlatenco is one of the largest and oldest, and has obtained recognition for its important participation. At this carnival you can enjoy regional music, charro groups, and different groups of people, including children, young people, and adults, who dress up in fun costumes. The carnival days are March 8, 9, 10, 17, 23, 24, 25, 30, 31, and April 1 and 7.

On the first day there will be performances by more than 20 national and international bands, such as Caifanes, División Minúscula, Bomba Estéreo, Ska-P, Fobia, among others. On the second day, you can enjoy bands like The 1975, Bunbury, Café Tacvba, Santana, El Tri, Snow Patrol, and many more.
